UNESCO World heritage tectonic arena Sardona

The tectonic arena Sardona gives us a unique insight into the history of the Alps' mountains and valleys. The collision between Africa and Europe progressively created the Alps over millions of years. Original rock layers were pushed over each other, folded and broken. The visitors can observe exceptionnally visible evidence and traces of these violent forces.
